At ULisboa the Rector ranks the highest and you are going to want to meet him at the Solemn Session, as this is where kick-off happens. You are not going to want to miss Universidade de Lisboa's biggest ceremony. And it takes place in the Aula Magna, the most beautiful room in Lisbon.
After the ceremony, there is a party and you do not want to miss it. It starts at 6 p.m. and goes on until dawn. Food and drink will not be lacking and the music will be awesome. The party is open to everyone, so you can invite your friends and show them that your University knows how to throw a proper party.
Valas, Johnny Valas or João Valido is a rapper from Alentejo, living in Évora. In 2016, he signed a contract with Universal Music Portugal and released As Coisas, his first single with this publisher. His live premier was in 2009, he belongs to the Matilha 401 band. Working together with producer Lhast, he developed several projects, among which Nébula stands out.
They came together in Lisbon, April 2014, and stand today as one of the most renowned electronic music projects in Portugal, most known for their radio hits Sentadinha and Sweeze Me, and for the electrifying live shows all over Portugal.
A multifaceted Hip Hop, with an instrumental Rock base that turns the band's every show into a true party of rhythm and power. Alfredo Costa (Skills) is the vocalist and author of the lyrics, sung in Portuguese, where he mixes, in and intelligent and natural way, references to unavoidable thinkers and philosophers, social criticism and everyday life occurrences.

Plastic cups on the ground when the party is over are a thing of the past. This year, ULisboa will distribute free reusable cups to all freshmen and at 1€ per cup for the general public. You can also bring your own cup marked for 20cl, if you would like. The Planet thanks you.
Around 11 a.m. there will be several sports activities going on in the Alameda. You can Zip Line from the Rector's Office (Reitoria), play Human Foosball with your classmates, go on the Bouncy Obstacle Course or go up a Climbing Tower under military supervision of the Army. Tough choices!
