Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa) is a University focused on research, with the ability to promote interdisciplinary dynamics, to invest in borderline areas and to value new issues and areas of work. ULisboa’s research extends a societal intervention, through the social and economic value of knowledge.

ULisboa combines about 140 research units (Centres and Institutes, 90 of which were evaluated by the FCT, many considered of superior quality ) and 10 Associate Laboratories, covering a wide range of disciplines, providing a huge potential for research in trans- and multidisciplinary areas along with their connection to postgraduate education.

ULisboa provides, through the Projects, Entrepreneurship and Knowledge Transfer Office (GPETC), project management services, intellectual property protection, knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship.
