Objectives 

The Master in Marine Ecology has the following main objectives:

. Establish a postgraduate training, theoretical and practical, focused in the analysis of ocean and coastal environments and its associated problems;
. Privilege integrated strategies of analysis, evaluation and conservation of marine ecosystems.

At the end of the course, students should have acquired the skills and competences to:

. Solve theoretical and experimental problems in marine ecology and conduct laboratory/field work, leading to the study of the hypotheses to be tested;
. Collect, select and interpret information in order to identify solutions to reduce the impact of human activities on the marine environment, framing them in environmental legislation (national and Community) in force;
. Disseminating information obtained in the course of their work to the general public and their peers, by publishing results.

Public and private organizations (national or international), with activity in the areas of characterization, exploitation, and management of the marine environment - coastal and ocean | Universities and Research Institutes | Environmental Consulting Companies | Self-employment.

To apply for the course, students must have completed their undergraduate degree or legal equivalent, preferably in Biology, Ecology, Environment and related areas.
