Modern Literatures, Arts and Cultures
Modern Literatures, Arts and Cultures
1
Offered for the first time in 2022/2023, the Master in Modern Literatures, Arts and Cultures aims to initiate students into advanced research, in an interdisciplinary perspective, crossing the study of literatures, arts and cultures, both from dominant and less studied areas that are part of the fundamental matrix of a School of Humanities such as the Faculty of arts and Humanities.
With a flexible structure and a unique study plan in Portugal, the course promotes critical knowledge of relevant historical and theoretical aspects of the field of Modern Literature, covering different geographies, genres, identities and times. It offers the personalization of each path, by providing that the specialty selected by the students, for the orientation seminar and the master's dissertation, defines the specialty of the degree.
It integrates nine specialties into a single postgraduate offer.
This course intends to unify the postgraduate study of foreign literatures, arts and cultures spread across several master's degrees and, in some cases, not offered for a long time at FLUL. The course intends to give continuity at an advanced level to 1st cycle/graduate courses with a component in literatures, arts and cultures studies.
