This program, entirely taught in English, aims to offer an academic specialization which fulfil the needs of the different organizations of the Art Markets. It seeks to develop students' skills of managing projects and investments, as well as of marketing, valuation and negotiation in the arts sector.
The Master represents an opportunity for interdisciplinary specialization with both theoretical and practical components which correspond to the requirements of a multi-faceted professional area. The MA in Art Markets is the fruit of a collaboration between Iscte and the School of Arts and Humanities (University of Lisbon), establishing the intersection of Management and Art History.

Objectives 

The main objective of this program consists on the study of the art markets. It is intended that students comprehend the fundamental structures of these markets and how they function. At the same time, it is intended that students gain the capacity to critically analyse the art markets in their different components. It is also intended that students can improve the performance of the organizations in which they come to work.

Career prospects 
The MA in Art Markets trains specialists able to perform activities related with: Art markets, namely in auction houses, antique stores, galleries, museums and artists’ studios; The cultural and creative sectors; Cultural tourism.
National Admission Exams 
Holders of the degree of licenciado or legal equivalent; Holders of a foreign higher academic degree conferred following a first study cycle organized according to the Bologna process; Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as meeting the objectives of the bachelor's degree; Holders of a school, scientific or professional curriculum recognized as attesting the ability to carry out the master's degree.

International Access
