National Admission Exams
1. Candidates that satisfy all of the following two conditions, in accordance with the provisions of Decree-Law no. 79/2014, of May 14, whose annex was amended by art. 7 of Decree-Law no. 176/2014 of December 12, 2014, are admitted:
a) are holders of one of the following degrees:
i) bachelor’s degree or legal equivalent in the scientific area(a) of the cycle of studies.
ii) foreign higher academic degree granted subsequent to a 1st cycle of studies which is organized according to the principles of the Bologna Process, by a state following this Process, in the scientific area (s) of the cycle of studies;
iii) foreign academic degree in the scientific area (s) of the study cycle, which is recognised as attesting the aims of the graduate degree by the Scientific Committee of the Masters in Teaching;
b) having obtained, within the academic qualification referred to in the preceding paragraph or in other higher education study cycles, the minimum education requirements established for application to the respective specialty in accordance with paragraph b) of point n.º 3 of article 18 of Decree-Law no. 79/2014, of May 14, whose annex was amended by art. 7 of Decree-Law no. 176/2014 of December 12, 2014.
2. Those who meet the conditions referred to in paragraph d) of point n.º 1 of article 17 of Decree-Law no. 74/2006, of March 24, amended by Decree-Laws no. 107/2008, of June 25, 230/2009, of September 14 and 115/2013, of August 7, may also apply for admission to a cycle of studies leading to a master's degree in one of the specialties referred to in the Annex to Decree-Law no. 79/2014 of May 14, as amended by art. 7 of Decree-Law no. 176/2014 of December 12, 2014, and that satisfy the minimum academic qualification requirements set to apply for the in the same annex.
3. Those who have only obtained 75% of the credits of the minimum academic qualification set for the respective specialty referred to in the Annex to Decree-Law no. 79/2014, of May 14, as amended by art. 7 of Decree-Law no. 176/2014, of December 12, 2014, may also apply for admission to a cycle of studies leading to a master's degree in one of the specialties referred in the same annex.
4. Accepted candidates will have to have an approved written exam in Portuguese that is expressly held for access to this cycle of studies.
