The Mestrado Degree in Family and Gender offers an in-depth, sociological education of excellence that provides research and critical analysis skills and solid knowledge about families and gender relations in contemporary societies. The program is designed for people with diverse backgrounds and career perspectives, who share a common interest in the study of family and gender issues from a multidisciplinary and intersectional perspective.

Objectives 

Develop theoretical, methodological and analytical skills necessary for a highly qualified intervention in professional context and to conduct quality research on issues related to family and gender relations;
To enable students to conduct final research or social intervention, articulating them with the research conducted in research centers based in ISCSP, particularly the Interdisciplinary Center for Gender Studies;
Prepare students for advanced training in the areas of family and gender, consolidating competences that enable the development of 3rd cycle studies, namely in the scope of the Doutoramento Degree in Gender Studies

National Admission Exams 
Applicants who possess a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent are admitted and allowed to proceed with their enrollment. Holders of a professional or scientific curriculum, duly recognized by the Scientific Council.
