Industrial Engineering and Management blends engineering sciences with business administration in order to solve problems in companies and industries. The role of industrial engineers involves planning, optimizing and managing activities such as industrial output (its processes and operations), logistics and distribution; they can also work in areas like finance, marketing, information systems, strategy and organization of a company or taking up consultancy as a career.
The educational, scientific and technological training objectives leading to the degree of master’s in engineering and industrial management are the following:
• Develop skills to apply the knowledge and the ability to understand in order to solve problems and show a professional approach with regard to the work developed, integrating scientific, technological and managerial knowledge and dealing with complex issues;
• Develop solutions under the scope of the conception of productive systems (products and services) and organizational structures, subject to technological, economic, social and environmental constraints;
