Sumário 

Psychological health, understood holistically from a perspective of physical, psychological and social well-being, can be promoted through education and training throughout the life cycle. This course is aimed at adults, regardless of their areas of prior training, and its general objective is the acquisition of knowledge and development of psychological skills that contribute to the Psychological Health of human beings, in different stages of development and life contexts. More specifically, the course aims to help participants: (1) acquire knowledge about risk and protection factors of psychological health, in the light of different theoretical models and results of scientific research; (2) develop their self-knowledge and skills for personal reflection and self-regulation; (3) deepen the knowledge of “the other”, in different life contexts and roles, as well as their skills in managing interpersonal relationships; (4) adopt health behaviors that contribute to healthy lifestyles and well-being. The course's curricular structure and study plan lasts for one academic semester, covering a variety of thematic modules, corresponding to a total of 30 ECTS. The classes, within each thematic module, combine the learning of concepts with moments of reflection and exercises of an applied nature.
