The economic situation aggravated by the pandemic determined the need to accelerate the construction of the National Strategy to Combat Poverty, foreseen in the Program of the XII Constitutional Government.

In this regard, the Government has created a Coordination Committee, which includes professors Amélia Bastos and Carlos Farinha Rodrigues.

The participation of members of ISEG in this committee reflects the public recognition of the important role that the civic activity and research of our school's teachers play in the areas of public policies, combating inequality and poverty.
