Brain and Heart: A University is built with Intelligence and Passion.

We may consider this to be the true matter of Revista ULisboa’s current issue, where several subjects of the arts and sciences intersect, told in the first person by their protagonists.

The Anatomical Theatre at the Institute of Anatomy of the Faculty of Medicine, and a book on the history of mathematics, read by a professor of the Faculty of Sciences, share these pages alongside interviews with economists, professors, musicians and artists. The same knowledge and the same passion prevail in all of them.

Jorge dos Reis, who presented a few of his works in the exhibition “Um Projetista na Academia – Vinte e cinco anos de Design Gráfico para a Universidade de Lisboa” (A Designer in the Academy - Twenty-five years of Graphic Design for the University of Lisbon), is a living proof of such, describing his work as he did: : constant, obstinate and rigorous.

This issue also features interviews with Clara Raposo, the first woman, in 111 years, to chair ISEG, the first Portuguese university school of economics and management, and with the musicians JP Simões and Márcia.
