Public Health aims at Health Promotion, Health Protection and Disease Prevention from a population-based perspective.
The University of Lisbon (ULisboa), as the largest academy in the country, is responsible for responding to challenges inherent to Public Health in Portugal.
As such, ULisboa promoted a meeting between University experts, integrated in the Interdisciplinary Thematic Network on Health, with several partners, in particular those within the Lisbon Living+ consortium, holding the 2nd Conference “Public Health @ ULisboa”. Based upon determinants of Public Health (Health Service, Physical and Social Environment, and Lifestyles), the event produced a set of reflections on Public Health in Portugal, subsequently shared with society in general and the Government.
