ULisboa is among the 150 best universities in the world in the CWTS/Leiden and Scimago rankings. It is also the best Portuguese university in the Shanghai/ARWU ranking, in the 201-300 bracket, as well as one of the best in Ibero-America. In the CWTS/Leiden rankings, it is 1st in scientific production in the Iberian Peninsula and 28th in Europe.
