The 21 Associate Laboratories (AL), 4 of which have been awarded the highest classification, have the potential to produce interdisciplinary knowledge of great relevance to ensuring public policy responses to scientific, health, social, environmental and economic challenges.
They also promote scientific or technical careers for doctoral graduates, as well as the ability to attract talent; and the ability to diversify funding sources.
