The Degree in Sport Management prepares sport development agents capable of identifying, analyzing and solving the problems of organizations, public, private or associative, with or without profit, directly or indirectly related to the sport sector.
The course integrates the rigor of teaching, the development of individual and interpersonal skills, international experience and preparation for integration into the world of sport. In pursuit of these objectives, the degree, in addition to integrating a solid training in sports and management sciences, also includes training in the scientific areas of motricity, mathematical methods and education, contextualized in the world of sport. This degree also aims to develop research, communication, teamwork and leadership skills, so that students can develop a strategic and integrated vision of the sports system.
a) Knowing the epistemological problem of human movement applied to the development, organization and management of sport
b) Know the sports phenomenon in its political, economic and social dynamics
c) Understand, from a biological perspective, the specificities relating to the design of sports programs for different types of population
d) Knowing the different sports and sports activities, in the areas of leisure, recreation and high competition
e) Understand the processes related to the teaching-learning of the different sports modalities and activities
f) Know the issues regarding the design of training and physical activity programs for the different segments of the population
g) Mastering the management evolution process, applying the different paradigms to the different organizational contexts of sport
h) Mastering the structure and dynamics of sports organizations and the mechanisms for adapting to change
i) Mastering issues relating to the design and management of sports facilities, as well as the different logics of their implantation in the territory
j) Mastering the international dynamics of the world of sport
l) Understand the conceptual framework relating to the economy of sport
m) Knowing how to apply the various statistical instruments necessary for the management
n) Master the instruments relating to general and analytical accounting applied to organizations in the world of sport, in order to guarantee good financial information systems
o) Mastering the application of financial analysis models and instruments, in order to guarantee the solvency and liquidity of sports organizations
p) Understand the dynamics of investments that provide the organization with greater strategic potential compared to the competition
q) Knowing how to apply new information technologies in terms of design, development and use of computer applications via the Internet
r) Knowing information systems and knowing how to apply them to sports organizations
s) Understand the fundamental aspects of law, sports law and the legal framework of sports organizations
t) Master the processes of organizational behavior in terms of the group, as well as the dynamics of leadership in the various sports organizations
u) Mastering issues relating to the training of coaches, managers and human resources in sport
v) Be able to define the skills profiles of human resources in sports organizations
w) Mastering strategic marketing and knowing how to contextualize it in the world of sport
x) Master the development problems applied to the world of sport, taking into account the possible economic and social environments, as well as the organizational sectors where sports practices are developed, such as public health, education, municipalities, tourism, environment and youth
y) Be able to plan, manage and control projects related, directly or indirectly, to the world of sport
