Biotechnology is an emerging area that proposes technological and industrial applications for Biological Sciences, studying a range of subjects from microorganisms characterization to the technological equipment necessary for their handling and use. Masters in Biotechnology have advanced training in multidisciplinary fields of Biological and Chemical Sciences and Technologies, allowing them to develop production processes and purification of bioproducts in the fermentation, pharmaceutical, agro-food, chemical and environmental industries.
The Master's Program in BIOTECHNOLOGY aims to train, at the level of a 2nd cycle of university studies, Masters with high quality and current training in this transdisciplinary field in which Life Sciences and Engineering are integrated. It is expected that future Masters possess skills appropriate to work in companies or to continue their studies at the doctoral level.
