The course aims to develop skills of demographic analysis relevant in the organization and planning of services mainly public, but also private, thus responding to the challenge of requalification of workers posed by the future of work. It is justified by the growing demographic challenges that public policies face, such as, on the one hand, the aging of the population and the decrease of the active population, and on the other hand, the reception of immigrants, taking into account the process of territorial cohesion. The program comprises 10 modules (Introduction to Demography; Demographic Challenges of the 21st century; Sources and data of demographic information; Demographic analysis; Statistical tools in Demography; Statistics applied to demographic studies; Introduction to Geographic Information Systems; Spatial analysis; Demographic projections; Project Seminar) and has a duration of 150 contact hours (a total of 625 total hours and 30 ECTS). It is aimed at graduates, namely professionals working in municipalities, who perform or will perform functions that require mastery of the essential methodologies of demographic analysis.
