The course aims to train professionals in different areas of supervision, control and marketing of fish for the correct identification of species, although it is also designed to be attended by other interested parties, such as other professionals in areas related to the subject, researchers and students. For professionals directly or indirectly related to fishing activities, it allows for correct management of stocks, as it overcomes the common difficulties of disambiguating morphologically similar species, which typically lead to incorrect registration and management of minimum sizes, fishing quotas and bans.
