‘Scars have the strange power to remind us that our past is real.’ - Cormac McCarthy
Then came the desire to celebrate the 25 April 1974 Revolution, and with it, the need to research what life was like before the revolution. As conversation within the group simmered and as research was conducted, surfaced the feeling that everything has changed on the outside, but that many things remain the same on the inside. Have we regressed or not? Of course not! Change is all too observable, but other demands have emerged and, with them, again came the need tfor change As a group, we constructed a text that is far from being finished, since the information regarding the subject is immeasurable and the interpretations that each one makes of it are infinite. This performance is the result of each and every moment of discussion and an attempt to summarize that which highly resists being summarized.
This play is part of the FATAL festival - Lisbon's Annual Academic Theatre Festival, in the ‘Mais FATAL’ category. See the full programme at fatal.ulisboa.pt.
