This play by TUP - Teatro Universitário do Porto [ Porto’s University Theatre] will be performed on 17 May at 9pm at the Carlos Paredes Auditorium in Benfica, as part of FATAL.
The performance revolves around the dream of slowly, cruelly, inevitably, relentlessly being able to drive our leaders mad; to turn them into insomniacs, to make them afraid of stepping outside, make them lose their jobs, their money, position, influence, and power. Afraid of not being able to choose the house they want, in their desired street.
People (silent in Shakepeare’s Macbeth) claimed for themselves the power of destroying various royal lineages until the destruction of monarchy, without wishing for themselves a new form of power, of rule.
