On 25 May, the event ‘Pensar a dois tempos’ (Thinking in two times) returns for another session that merges thinking, creation and dialogue. The conversation will take place in the National Museum of Natural History and Science of ULisboa.
Gonçalo M. Tavares welcomes Ana Paula Tavares for the debate ‘Ler e Escrever’ (Reading and Writing), a conversation that promises to explore bridges, tensions and complicities between these two words that belong to the same academic and cultural everyday life.
The event ‘Pensar a dois tempos’ (Thinking in two times) proposes : put these two actions face to face and see what is born of that encounter - the fights, bridges, frictions, and utopias that arise when two thinking universes touch. Each meeting is thought of as a peaceful conversation, where the goal is not to close ideas, but to let them flow.
With curatorship of Gonçalo M. Tavares and speakers of different areas, these conversations invite the audience to reflect unhurriedly, listening with curiosity and letting that reflection move freely.
This initiative is part of the programme ‘Sem Margem’ (No Margin), the ‘Semana de África da ULisboa’ (Africa Week at ULisboa). One that puts reflection, cultural valorization and critical thinking at the centre, through lectures, talks, expositions, dances, music and gastronomy.
There are no borders at ULisboa. There are conversations. There is continuity. There is a future.
