The Tempus program is the European Union (EU) program that supports the modernization of higher education in partner countries of Western Europe, Central Asia, the Western Balkans and the Mediterranean Region, mostly through academic cooperation projects. Thus, the program seeks to promote the voluntary convergence of partner countries with the European Union (EU) in the areas of Higher Education, the Lisbon agenda and the Bologna Process. The main goal of the Tempus program is contribute to create a cooperation area in higher education between the EU and partner countries neighboring the EU.
