European Studies
The graduation in European Studies is a degree of basic pluridisciplinar scientific training in the area of Social and Human Sciences allowing the students to acquire an integrated knowledge on Europe in the context of FLUL’s structure of knowledge and completed with the exchange with other higher education institutions. This involves an articulation with History, Geography, Philosophy, Law, Culture, Language Sciences and the teaching of European languages.
The goal of the study programme is to respond to the preparation needs of professionals in the domains of Social and Human Sciences, recognized as essential in the new framework of European spaces and societies.
Graduates in European Studies develop activities in professional areas linked to international cooperation, journalism and advice related to European affairs, diplomatic careers, teaching and research.
Many graduates in European Studies continue to study, attending Master's and Doctoral courses. Culture and Society in Europe (FL-ULisboa) and European Policies (IGOT-ULisboa) are examples of Master's courses that allow students to deepen their knowledge.
