The Movimento de Expressão Fotográfica [Photographic Expression Movement] (MEF), in collaboration with the University of Lisbon, is organising the Theatre Photography Workshop, which was designed to provide a unique experience of photographic coverage of the 24th edition of FATAL - Lisbon's Annual Academic Theatre Festival.
This workshop offers a complete experience, split into a theoretical and a practical component, which is developed over the entirety of the festival. The theoretical component will cover specific stage photography techniques, while the practical component will involve photographic documentation of the shows included in the FATALprogramme, as well as capturing the atmosphere and parallel activities unique to the festival's atmosphere.
To ensure collaborative and comprehensive coverage, participants will be organised into work teams. These will be coordinated by instructor Tânia Araújo and accompanied by instructor Luís Rocha.
In order to take part in this workshop, the festival organisers are asked to provide a selection of images in digital format, with the aim of promoting future editions of FATAL. The organization is is committed to credit the rightful authors for their work. Therefore, ownership of the photographs rests entirely on the festival participants.
