On November 11th, between 17h00 and 20h30, the University of Lisbon is hosting a side event to the Web Summit at the Pavilion of Portugal Congress Center.
Aimed at Web Summit participants, public and private entities in the innovation ecosystem, investors, companies, startups, and entrepreneurs, “UniVerse – Entrepreneurial Academy” aims to affirm the strategic role of academia in the country's economic and technological development.
UniVerse: Entrepreneurial Academy is an initiative dedicated to the impact of academia on the Portuguese entrepreneurship ecosystem. It was developed collaboratively with the Universities of Porto, Coimbra, Aveiro, Algarve, Évora, Madeira and NOVA FCT, and is supported by the National Innovation Agency, Startup Portugal and EIT Community Hub Portugal.
The event aims to promote dialogue between Portuguese universities, companies, investors, and startups, and to showcase the entrepreneurial talent emerging from each of the participating universities through a pitch competition.
