HERITAGE
THE UNIVERSITY IS CULTURE AND NATURE
Did you know that ULisboa has an amazing historical and cultural heritage? Throughout the year you’ll find exhibitions, guided tours, conferences, and plenty of activities to discover.
National Museum of Natural History and Science (MUHNAC)
A true classic of science in Portugal! With three sites in Lisbon (Príncipe Real, Ajuda, and Belém), collections dating back to the 17th century, and lots of history to explore.
Lisbon Botanical Garden (JBL)
Part of MUHNAC, it’s an oasis of tropical species from all over the world, making the most of Lisbon’s climate and the microclimates of the space.
Tropical Botanical Garden (JBT)
Right next to the Jerónimos Monastery, it’s a journey through tropical flora. With the Garden’s app, you can explore different times and corners interactively.
Tapada da Ajuda
A huge space (100 hectares!) with a botanical reserve, historical heritage, and a breathtaking viewpoint over Lisbon.
Ajuda Botanical Garden (JBA)
The oldest in Portugal, with over 240 years of history. It features a diverse collection, a seed bank, an essential oil distiller for aromatic plants, and various activities linked to biodiversity.
Pavilion of Portugal
Located in a prime spot by the Tagus River, in Parque das Nações, this ULisboa space is all yours! Here you’ll find Concertos à Pala, exhibitions, a 24-hour study room, and much more.
SPORTS, HEALTH & WELL-BEING
HEALTHY BODY, HEALTHY MIND
Whatever your favorite sport is, you can train at the University Stadium of Lisbon.
By joining ULisboa, you’ll get special conditions to access Sports, Health and Well-being services provided at the University Stadium of Lisbon, with facilities located at both the Cidade Universitária campus and the Ajuda campus.

A full meal with soup, main dish, bread, fruit/dessert/yogurt, and a drink.

The weekly menu is always available online — so you know what to expect in advance.

ULisboa has 12 University Residences with around 1,700 beds
Who can apply?
Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Master’s students at ULisboa, as well as those in cooperation and mobility programs.
Priority goes to scholarship holders coming from outside Lisbon.

Applications are online, simple and practical.
