ULisboa launches “Pedagogical Toolkit” to support innovation in teaching and academic success

Based on practices developed by teachers from various schools at the University of Lisbon, the initiative brings together examples of application, conceptual frameworks, video testimonials, and practical resources designed to support and inspire the teaching community.

The University of Lisbon (ULisboa) offers the Pedagogical Toolkit, a digital repository of pedagogical approaches, methodologies, and resources based on practices developed by teachers from various schools within the University.

The Toolkit is the result of a systematic process of collecting, analyzing, and categorizing pedagogical practices shared by ULisboa faculty, making the diversity of existing experiences at the University visible and making them available as a source of inspiration and support for other teachers.

The practices are organized around different pedagogical approaches and methodologies, with a particular focus on active learning strategies, as well as resources and technologies that support teaching and learning. Each category includes a conceptual framework outlining its main characteristics, examples drawn from practices developed at ULisboa, suggestions for their application, and guidance on the contexts in which their use may be particularly relevant.

Available through a digital learning environment, the Toolkit enables teachers to:

Learn about practices developed by colleagues from different academic disciplines at ULisboa and draw from them ideas that can be adapted to their own teaching contexts;
Gain a deeper understanding of the pedagogical and conceptual foundations of different teaching and learning approaches and methodologies;
Access audiovisual content, including testimonials from teachers and students and examples of activities carried out in teaching contexts;
Consult resources and tools to support the implementation of these practices, including tutorials on digital tools, guidelines, and activity plans.

More than just a repository, the Toolkit aims to serve as a space for sharing, learning, and inspiration among teachers, contributing to the continuous improvement of teaching practices and the promotion of academic success at the University of Lisbon.

The Pedagogical Toolkit seeks to enhance the quality of teaching and learning experiences and to foster conditions conducive to students’ integration, participation, and academic success.

The repository is available to the faculty community through the University of Lisbon’s Moodle platform:
