The University of Lisbon (ULisboa) recently took part in Salão do Estudante, an initiative dedicated to the promotion of the Portuguese higher education catalogue among Brazilian students.
This action is part of ULisboa’s internationalisation strategy and aims to showcase its range of courses, attracting international students, all while reinforcing its connections with Brazil.
The itinerary began in São Paulo, with two days full of activities from 21 to 22 March, proceeding then to Leblon (24 March) and Barra (25 March), both situated in Rio de Janeiro. Afterwards, ULisboa moved on to Brasília (27 March), Salvador (29 March), and Maceió (31 March), finishing the journey in Recife, on 1 April.
Throughout the event, ULisboa introduced its vast educational offer, which includes more than 400 courses spread among its 19 Schools, with particular emphasis on its programmes of Integrated Master's Degree accessible to foreign students.
For Isabel França, Director of the Communication and International Relations Department, ‘The participation in this Salão is essential to boost ULisboa's exposure, bring talent together and build solid academic bridges. It also contributes to reinforce its capacity to attract international students, especially from Brazil, with particular focus on Integrated Master's Degree candidates, who look for an excellent education right from the start of their academic career.’
Salão do Estudante is one of the main higher education fairs in Latin America and the oldest in Brazil, therefore, proving to be one strategic platform for the diffusion of international academic opportunities. The participation also allowed direct contact with potential candidates, clarifying doubts regarding the application process, terms of access, and academic life in Lisbon.
ULisboa's presence in the event represents yet another opportunity to enhance its international exposure and solidify its position as a renowned university, open to the world and diverse academic careers.
