UNITE! Seed Fund is back in 2026 to turn ideas into action

The UNITE! Seed Fund 2026 opens applications on 20 January 2026 and provides financial support to turn ideas into concrete projects, developed in collaboration with European universities in the UNITE! alliance, of which the University of Lisbon is a member.

The fund supports collaborative and exploratory projects in the areas of student activities, teaching and research, with funding of up to €80,000 per project.

In the area of Student Activities, student associations and organisations with initiatives developed in partnership with at least two UNITE! universities are eligible to apply. Each project can receive up to €20,000. Interested parties should contact the UNITE! Student Liaison Officer at ULisboa by 5 March 2026.

The Teaching & Learning category is aimed at those who want to create joint educational offerings, with ECTS credits, involving at least three universities in the alliance. Financial support ranges from €10,000 to €80,000.

In Research & Doctorate, funding is intended for collaborative research projects, also involving at least three UNITE! universities, with a special focus on exploratory proposals led by early-career researchers. Support amounts also range from €10,000 to €80,000.

Applications will be accepted from 20 January to 20 March 2026. Once the call for applications is open, forms and initiatives to support the creation of international partnerships will be available.
