Applications for PhD in Nursing at Nursing School of University of Lisbon begin on 23 March until 17 April 2026.
The PhD in Nursing, at Nursing School of University of Lisbon, in partnership with other Schools, focuses on the understanding and productivity of nursing care in different areas of research: development and evaluation of complex medical interventions; innovation and the development of practices; lived experience and the epistemology of practice; the history of nursing; emotions in healthcare; the organisational environment in healthcare: quality and management of medical care; and education and learning in nursing.
It is aimed at Nursing graduates, or those recognised as holders of a ‘Licenciatura’ degree in Nursing, who holds a master’s degree, or those recognised as holders of a master’s degree, in any field of knowledge. They may also hold a ‘Licenciatura’ degree in Nursing, or recognised as holders of a degree in Nursing, with a final grade of, at least, 16 points and particularly relevant academic or scientific curriculum that is recognised as attesting to their ability to complete this cycle of studies by the Nursing Scientific Committee.
