Inovalo360 – Winter School on Innovation and Valorization is a winter school dedicated to innovation and the valorization of scientific research in the European context, organized within the framework of UNITE!, in partnership with Université Grenoble Alpes.

The 2026 edition will take place on January 21 and 22, in an online format, and offers practical training and strategic tools for researchers interested in transforming their scientific results into solutions with an impact beyond academic publications. Participation is free of charge, upon prior registration.

Target audience

The winter school is aimed at:

  • doctoral students
  • researchers at the beginning or advanced stages of their careers
  • postdoctoral researchers
  • teachers and other professionals interested in innovation and knowledge transfer

The training is particularly relevant for those who want to understand the European innovation ecosystem, explore different ways of valorizing research, such as creating startups, partnerships with industry, or Open Science initiatives, and deepen their understanding of concepts related to intellectual property protection.

Contents and objectives

Over two days, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • explore mechanisms for valorizing scientific research beyond academic publications;
  • learn about different paths for knowledge transfer, supported by practical examples and case studies;
  • learn strategies for protecting and managing intellectual property associated with research results.

January 22 will be conducted exclusively in English, aimed especially at non-French-speaking participants, reinforcing the international character of the initiative.
