Nursing School joins ULisboa

We welcome an institution with a remarkable history in nursing education and strong links to clinical practice and health research.

With this integration, ULisboa reinforces its commitment to excellence in higher education, scientific research, and community service. The health sector, particularly nursing education, thus gains new momentum within the country's largest university.

For Patrícia da Silva Pereira, President of ESEL, "The integration of ESEL into ULisboa is recognition of the school's prestige on the national and international scene, as well as the partnership we have had for over 20 years in the PhD program in Nursing. This affiliation guarantees the expansion of the network and opportunities for scientific and academic collaboration with other areas of knowledge, contributing to better healthcare through training, research, and innovation. The Nursing School of the University of Lisbon will contribute to reaching a wider audience."

The Nursing School of Lisbon (ESEL) brings with it decades of experience in nursing education, a strong connection to clinical practice, and a solid reputation in applied research in health and human care. Its entry into ULisboa represents not only a historic step for the institution, but also for the entire national academic and scientific community.

ULisboa now comprises 19 Schools whose educational offerings are distinguished by their quality and breadth in various areas of knowledge.
