As a member of the European University Alliance UNITE!, the University of Lisbon invites its students to join the latest edition of UNITE! Language Tandems, a free international programme dedicated to language practice and cultural exchange.
The UNITE! Language Tandems provide all ULisboa’s students the opportunity to improve their oral skills in several European languages, such as Portuguese, Spanish, Catalan, German, French, Italian, Swedish, Finnish, Polish or English, through regular conversation with students from other member universities of the Alliance. Applications are open from 2 to 20 March 2026.
Participating in a Language Tandem is a dynamic and efficient way to expand oral fluency outside the traditional academic sphere, foster cultural horizons, and develop essential intercultural competences in an increasingly globalised world.
This project is included as one of the activities promoted by the UNITE! network, which brings together nine European partner universities, including the University of Lisbon. The network aims to foster academic cooperation, student mobility and collaborative learning.
