Unite! Secures €7.2 Million in EU Funding for New Phase Starting in November 2026

As a member of Unite!, the University of Lisbon will take part in this new phase, which will strengthen joint initiatives in education, research, and innovation while creating new opportunities for students, academic staff, researchers, and professional services staff.

Over the past six years, Unite! has established itself as one of Europe’s leading university alliances, developing initiatives that foster mobility, international learning pathways, scientific collaboration, and educational innovation. The renewed funding will enable the alliance to further deepen this work and accelerate the shared vision of a more open, connected, and resilient European Higher Education and Research Area.

During this new phase, Unite! reaffirms its mission to advance transformative education, excellent research, and innovation, while strengthening collaboration among its partner universities and contributing to solutions for the social, scientific, and technological challenges of the future.

For the University of Lisbon, the renewal of the European Commission’s support is a recognition of the alliance’s achievements and an opportunity to further strengthen the European dimension of its educational, research, and innovation activities.

As Unite! embarks on this next chapter, the alliance remains committed to building an inclusive, innovative, and future-ready European University, creating lasting impact for its member institutions, their communities, and Europe as a whole.
