From 17 to 18 March 2026, the international event ‘Digital Bridges - Turning Research into Regional Impacts’ will be held as part of the European project Unite! Widening. This initiative will take place in hybrid format, with sessions both online and in person at Wrocław Tech, in Wrocław, Poland.

The event aims to strengthen the dialogue between academia, industry and the Deep Tech sector, promoting the sharing of technology and economic valuation of scientific research. The programme will address strategic technology fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, High-Performance Computing (HPC), automation and robotics, and other areas related to digital innovation.

Aimed at students, researchers and innovation experts, the meeting offers an opportunity to explore pathways that help turn scientific outcomes into market-ready solutions with regional impact.

The main aims of the initiative include:

  • Exploring ‘from the laboratory to the job market’ pathways through case studies and best practices.
  • Promoting networking with representatives of technology parks across Europe and technology transference units.
  • Showcasing technological solutions developed in the academic sphere that can be presented at EXPO (for on-site participants only).

Throughout these two days, participants will be able to attend thematic panels, project presentations, experience sharing-sessions and networking opportunities, encouraging collaboration between universities, research centres and tech companies.

This initiative is one of the activities of the UNITE! Widening, a European project that aims to reinforce the cooperation between universities and innovation ecosystems, promoting the knowledge transfer and technology development with economic and social impact.
