University of Lisbon will attend the XIII UNITE! Dialogue, taking place at the Politecnico di Torino, in Italy. From 9 to 12 February 2026, this international meeting will be organised by UNITE!, a European alliance composed of nine university partners, of which ULisboa is a part of.
This edition’s theme, “From short-term E+ project to long-term alliance: Contributing to EU competitiveness”, highlights strategic perspectives on the alliance’s future. Headlining its contribution to European Union competitiveness and in long-term sustainability of academic cooperation in Europe.
The event will welcome more than 300 participants of the nine universities, including representatives of professors, researchers, students and university administrators. The programme includes plenary meetings and parallel discussions encouraging reflection on the cooperation’s strategies, funding and development opportunities, and joint initiatives within the scope of education, research and innovation.
One of the newest additions to this edition is the plenary meetings “Future Vision”. Designed as strategic participating discussions about UNITE!’s future as a European alliance of reference to higher education and investigation in promoting the exchange of ideas of all the members of the academic community.
ULisboa’s participation in this initiative enhances the University's commitment to European cooperation in higher education. As well as with scientific internationalization in transnational networks of excellence.

Unite! Dialogue Meetings
Unite! Dialogue Meetings are the key format for increasing Unite!'s visibility at member universities and in their ecosystems, spreading Unite!'s vision among staff and students. Unite! Dialogues are open to all members of the host university. Reporting, discussions, reviews, and future strategies thus become transparent to the entire Unite! community, actively involving its members.
